39 years - entry on Linkedin


Is it already December 1st?

October and November have been two busy months. In October the 2025 edition of our Roadshow came to Copenhagen. I will not spoil anything as it will continue through Europe but I will have to say that I have never seen such a short period from thought to realization. Our different product teams have done an amazing job and our local departments have been deeply involved in both the development phase, testing and even the presentation.

Just days ago Cegid acquired Shine and we welcome them into our company. I feel we will do a lot of good things together.

2026 will be a busy year, like 2025 has been. It is not all things that have happened this 2025 which was something I imagined when I made my last post due to my 10 years working for what now is Cegid. It just shows how fast things change and you never know what tomorrow brings you.

December 1st is 39 years since I entered into my first full time job in the IT-business. Change has been the story of my worklife. From working with standalone PC’s with hard drive capacity of 20 Megabytes to Networks, Internet, cloud and mobile technology and now AI integrated in our software.

A lot has changed. But there is also something that is the same. Keeping the customers happy and supporting my colleagues. It is not single accomplishments, it is team work and at Cegid we have each other's back. I know that I can reach out to get help and that is why I will always try to help when it is needed.

39 is just a number. I hope to be allowed to work an additional 10 years. I know that many changes will happen in these years and I will do my best to prepare for these changes.

Jeg har fulgt Lawand Hiwa Namo’s kritik af Sigrid Nielsen, som i dagbladet Information udtrykker sin frustration over at det er svært at få arbejde, når der er så mange skilte med ledige stillinger. Spørgsmålet er, om de virkelige eksisterer. Faktum er at der er mange ledige stillinger, men ikke mange som alle frit kan søge. Vi har skabt et samfund, hvor mange arbejdsgivere nærmest forventer at få stillet gratis eller støttet arbejdskraft til rådighed. I min familie har et medlem med 3 forskellige lidelser været i ikke mindre end 4 forskellige jobs hvor meningen var at det efter endt arbejdsprøvning skulle ende med fleksjob. Senest var det arbejde i en kantine hos en meget stor produktionsvirksomhed i Frederikssund. Kantinedriften var outsourcet til et firma og her blev arbejdet passet i 6 måneder, hvorefter at kantine firmaet og job-konsulentfirmaet efter at have fået sat stolen for døren af kommunen måtte meddele at der ikke var arbejde til den lokale kantineleders forbløffelse som...

Two episodes from 1983 that make me bitter

Thinking back on a gray day, where I am in no good mood due to pain from my teeth, my thoughts fall on some of the saddest days in my life. There are some episodes from my life which make me bitter. Here is a description of some of them which I think back on many years later. Episodes which continue to make me bitter every single time, I think about them. They have shaped my life so to say. 1983 Two episodes from this year makes me bitter. My family knows that if I talk about the year 1983, they shall leave me alone until I have used half a day alone so I can rejoin others. A family business is not an accepted way to earn money The first episode is about an outing to a workshop out of town which the school planned at a short notice.
